Kids love something they can open (especially at someone else’s birthday party.) My kids had so much fun collecting the paper towel and toilet paper rolls for this project and I loved that my kids and I had so much fun making these.
This is a great idea to pack in your child’s lunch-box on the first day of school with a special note from you.
Supplies
• Toilet Paper Rolls (as many as you need) or Paper Towel Rolls cut in half
• Scissors
• Ribbon (curly, raffia etc)
• Bag of mixed candy
• Glue or Tape
• Paper (at least 12x7) wrapping paper, construction paper, scrapbook paper (feel free to download your favorite scrapbook paper from your favorite digital designer)
**Optional - beads, stickers, flowers etc. for the kids to decorate the outside of the crackers with
How-To
Wrap the toilet or paper towel roll in your paper, leaving about 3 inches hanging on either side.
Glue or tape the roll to the paper
Gently gather or pinch the ends of one side of the paper and tie with your ribbon
Fill the cracker with candy or little toys from the open end
Gently gather or pinch the open end and tie with your ribbon - Viola! Easy Peasy
