decor pad

Recently my husband and I bought a 1950's ranch home in need of some updating. Decorating an entire house was a dream come true for me, or so I thought.

Once it came down to it, I found I wasn’t really sure what I wanted as far as colors for walls, window treatments, or flooring.

For the most part, I take inspiration from catalogs like Pottery Barn or magazines like Better Homes and Gardens and House Beautiful.  You don’t even want to see the paper clutter I have from either ripping out pages or just keeping the entire magazine laying around.  That’s another post!

Imagine my uncontrollable glee when I found the Decor Pad site!  To tell you I wanted to click on everything all at once would be an understatement.  I wanted to devour this site and I couldn’t register fast enough!  And registration is FREE!

Decorating an entire house was a dream come true for me, or so I thought.

There are forums where you can seek advice, photos to browse for inspiration and you can even upload your own.  With the paint gallery you can choose a color family and see photos of rooms painted in those colors.  There is so much more, so go check it out!  Whatever your decorating dilemma, you’ll find your answer at the Decor Pad!

No one ever tells you when you buy a house how much it will cost to take care of, furnish, all the exterior stuff. Yikes. They need to tell you about it before you buy a house so you can plan that into the mortgage or something.
