wedding shower and bridal party games
It is not an easy task to come up with fun, mature and "clean" games for couples who are engaged to be married.
It seems like everything for brides has a perverted twist to it. And, if that’s your thing, please have fun! It is not “the thing” for most of the women in my family.
My brother and sister-in-love got engaged this summer and were planning their wedding for mid October. We obviously didn’t have time for every single traditional event: engagement party, bridal shower, lingerie shower, bachelorette/bachelor party, etc… So, we combined some things.
During their three and a half month engagement, we had a couple shower for both the bride and groom in lieu of an engagement party. And, we had a bachelorette party where we surprised the bride with lingerie. The groom had a traditional bachelor party.
I was tasked with games in both cases. It isn’t easy to think of “games” that guys and guests of all ages will want to play. I have been to many wedding showers/parties/events, including my own and was able to put together a few of my favorites. Famous Couples Blind Mixer
How to Play: Names of famous men and women are printed on name tags and each guest will have a name sticker placed on their back. They must not know the name. Men usually receive the name of a famous man. Same with the women. As they mingle around the room, other guests will speak to them as if they are that person until they guess whose name is on their back.

Bride & Groom Trivia
How to Play: This game can be played several different ways. You will interview the bride and groom separately and ask them not to share what they have discussed. At the shower/party, you can see how well the guests know the couple OR how well the couple knows each other. At my brother’s couple shower, I did a combination of both. It is always a laugh!

Bridal Party Scavenger Hunt
How to Play: The guests take the bride out for a night on the town and, through the process, challenge her to find a few things along the way. You can take pictures of each item as you cross it off the list. Depending on the size of the party, you could break into teams and compete to complete the list first.
