BIO

I am a wife, a mom, a grandma and I am Me. I didn’t know I was Me until 10 years ago when my youngest graduated high school and I went to work in the outside world - something I had the blessing of not having to do while my children were growing up.

To my surprise, I found much more than a job, I found Me. Working outside the home, I discovered I have my own interests, too.  Many I brought with me, like my love for Good Ole’ Time Gospel music, rock and roll, and oldies as far back as the Big Bands of the 40’s. I have always been crafty -  making was always better than store-bought.
Marty & I met and married in the 70’s and we both love many things about that era. It is reflected in both our home and our car…Marty’s car! We are PT Cruiser car club enthusiasts. We go to cruise-ins on Saturday nights and card shows when we can.

Others interests, I discovered along the way. My new found loves include photography and digital scrapbooking, which is different than my life-long love for pictures. I piddle in airbrushing, and I am devoted to our annual family reunion and all that goes into planning the annual, summer time event.

My newest love is the whole idea of becoming healthier and physically fit. I want to feel physically the way I feel mentally. To think I can actually achieve that is exhilarating. I love to exercise, so that is half the battle. I get so excited about that my energy level rises just thinking about it.

I have the great blessing of having a wonderful husband who encourages me in anything I endeavor. When I am down, he picks me up and when I am up he lifts me higher. How did I get so lucky? But trust me; it has not always been this way. This is 33 years of living and loving and growing together.

I enjoy meeting my sisters out for a monthly dinner and I love spending an entire day with my children and grandchildren. There are never enough of those days. Some family times have to be well planned. That’s life!
