the ants go marching

At some point or another you are going to see them marching around as if they own your place and trying to take over (bunch of squatters.) 

When you see them, it’s time to take action. I have tried reasoning with them and I’ve issued a few threats and I can honestly tell you it doesn’t work.  When ants invade it’s an all out turf war. Time to roll up your sleeves and take action.

Alternatives to Pesticides

* The Direct Attack: Pour boiling water over the top of the mound - start around the edge and work your way inward (be careful if you use this method)

* The Sneak Attack: Create a hole with a stick in the center of the mound and pour baking soda (about 1/2 way up) and fill the rest of the hole up with vinegar (another great use for vinegar!) - If the ants are in your home spray their “trail” with vinegar

* Time To Spice It Up:  Ants don’t like anything that has a strong odor -spices such as cinnamon, bay leaves and even baby powder mess with their sense of smell and direction.  Sprinkle where you see them and viola no more ants.
