storage solution

Over time, I bought a wicker basket to store the games in and it looked nice and organized for a time, until we added 4 more controllers, 3 nunchuks, 2 steering wheels, a game cube controller, and a light saber (and not to even mention rockband stuff and a Wii Fit board that just sits out).  As you can probably imagine, things got out of hand and our TV area became a disaster area.

My husband and I stumbled upon this great find at Target.  O.k, well, my husband was the one who found it.  I’ll give him that one.  It’s a gaming ottoman.
Since bringing it home, it has been the answer to our video game problem. All of the games fit, along with the accessories!  We ended up getting a second one because we had so much stuff.

It’s also great for storing movies, and it also serves as a place to sit while playing the games.  Jay likes to use it to prop his feet up as he sits on the couch and reads.  It’s serving me now as a place to use my laptop. 
It’s so much nicer to be in the living room now and not see the eyesore that used to be our media cabinet!
