These are so easy to make and your kids will love them!
Ingredients
1/2 c. butter, softened
1-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 t. salt
1 t. garlic powder
squirt of Worchestershire sauce (optional)
coarse salt/sea salt
* You can really get creative w/these and add any of your favorite herb mixes)
Directions
In a mixer or food processor cream the butter. Then add the cheddar cheese until it forms a thick paste. Add a splash of Worchestershire sauce, salt and garlic powder. Slowly add in the flour until the mixture is a play-dough type consistency. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a ball then roll out the dough until it’s about 1/2” thick. You can make your crackers small “cracker” squares, long sticks or use the cookie press w/the straw attachment. Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray with Pam. Place your crackers on the cookie sheet about an inch apart. Sprinkle with salt and any herb/spice mixture you like (personally I’m a garlic fan.) Softly pat the tops with the palm of your hand to push in the spices: Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes, or until they are a light golden brown. Remove and cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before eating. If you have any leftovers store them in an airtight container.
