finally.

Where have I been?  BURRIED in home projects.  That’s where!  And, loving every minute of it.

One fabulous thing came from five days of constant rain.  The painters we lined up to paint next week were free from their exterior jobs last week so they were able to paint the [entire] inside of our home Wednesday!  It was a little bit crazy considering we just had spring cleaning done the day before.  But, we did not hesitate to take them up on their offer to do it early. 

And, since our Memorial Weekend camping trip was canceled and my husband’s parents had our daughter for a sleep over w/ our niece the night before, we decided to take a road trip [2 hours] to Orlando’s Ikea store!  309,000 sq ft of awesome Ikea decor.  It was amazing except that I actually felt terrible and it was a Memorial Weekend sale frenzy.  Looking back, it wasn’t so bad, though, b/c we saved $360 in shipping.  We were also able to see the shelving options in person and I got WAY more than I imagined - and for less than I originally planned.  So, double-bonus. 

My hubbie was up bright and early assembling the shelves and cabinets and we moved them in and secured them.  I have been loading them up all day it seems.  I love organization.  For now, I have just found a home for some things and eventually, it will be much prettier. 

I also have organized Abby’s new toy room, which is going to be Dr. Seuss themed.  I think it’s going to be cute; although, my organizational process seemed to trash the rest of the house.  All i need is one or two Dr. Seuss wallies.  I’m also framing the pages of four Dr. Seuss books in large, white frames.  I promise I’ll share that process w/ you.
